Yesterday, I read in the economist that the Australian economy will continue to grow in 2009, albeit at a slower rate. (just 1.1%) This is a forecast based on economic parameters like new jobs being created, consumption patterns, interest rates, housing demand and so on. The Forecast is not cast in stone. There are people who help stimulate economic growth.
These are the entrepreneurs and small businesses who work harder when times get tough. These people are resilient. They are not affected by pessimistic talk and work confidently to make their companies grow.
I salute all Australian entrepreneurs who have the winning spirit….because it is this winning spirit which will make us grow faster than the economist forecast. I also salute all the people who work for companies and work extra hours without thinking about immediate gratification. These are the people who will become future leaders.
