3 Steps to social selling

  1. Connect – connect with the right people. Know your customer and offer them something they want to know!
  2. Engage – when you’ve found your customers, engage them with quality content.
  3. Generate leads – send your users back to your website. Collect their emails by providing something valuable. It might be a white paper, discount code or template.

Firstly…

Start with quality content that’s engaging and shareable. You want to be posing content that your users find valuable!

The content has to focus on information your customers will engage with and share.

Be yourself. Your posts should come off as AUTHENTIC.

If you’re business is food related, provide recipes. If you’re a fitness company, provide youtube workout videos etc.

Secondly…

“Salespeople have been successful in blogging about issues related to the problems their products solve and participating in online forums where these topics are discussed. Meeting someone at their point of need with a solution, a salesperson can then create a lead who is interested in learning more about a product or service.” (Forbes.com

If you want to sell, you have to engage!

Think about how you can position your content to interact with your prospects and generate leads.

Listen to what your customers are saying. This will enable you to engage in meaningful conversations with them!

Lastly…

Next up, If you want your social media users to convert, you’re going to have to get them onto your website. The best way to do this is to send them to your blog, where they can find more useful long-form content.

At this point, you should provide customers with something they can exchange their email for. Think about an e-book, white paper or discount code.

Now you’ve successfully added them to your database.
